While the myth, stories and legends are out there explaining the magical properties of this herb, it is important to note that the FDA- Food & Drug Administration in Unites States have declared that the effectiveness of Kratom as a form of traditional medication for the treatment of any kind of disease or sickness had not been clinically proven since there hasn’t been significant research conducted in this regard.

It is known that the Kratom byproducts do possess opioid like properties, which could cause some people to become overly dependent on the daily use of this drug. There are cases in which those who tried to quit using Kratom starting having symptoms associated to withdrawal.
